​Prof. Bruce Peabody

Bruce is a Professor of Government & Politics. He received his Ph.D. in Government from the University of Texas at Austin and his B.A. in the College of Social Studies at Wesleyan University in Connecticut. At FDU he was promoted to Full Professor in 2010 and has been the FILL Director since 2011. He served as chair of the Department of Social Sciences and History from July 2007-June 2010. In 2012, Bruce received the Distinguished Faculty Award for Research and Scholarship from Fairleigh Dickinson and in the same year he also received the Outstanding Faculty Member Award awarded by the Student Government Association (an award he also won in 2004). He won it for a third time in Spring 2016, and most recently, Bruce won the 2020 Distinguished Faculty Award for Service from FDU. You can view his website here.

Jessica is originally from West Chester, PA, and attended James Madison University for her undergraduate degree, and completed her masters at Queens College. She has been periodically teaching English composition classes at FDU for the past six years, and she currently teaches full time in the Bronx for the New York City Department of Education. When not working, she enjoys spending time with her three children and husband while traveling, reading, learning languages, and playing sports.

Abagail is the Administrative Assistant of two departments on the Florham campus: Social Sciences & History, and Criminology & Criminal Justice. She has an M.F.A in Creative Writing with Fairleigh Dickinson University, and a B.A in Creative Writing and Fine Arts from the College of Saint Elizabeth. She is currently a TA on her way to becoming a professor. Her masters' thesis, "A Time for Fantasy," published in 2018, can be found at Fiction Southeast Literary Magazine, and her newest short story, "The Hoarder," is forthcoming with Millennial Pulp Literary Magazine.
