Classes Ken Teaches:

Making Sense of the Digital World

Introduction and history of the migration of older analog electronics devices (radio, TV, telephone) to today’s digital devices, the Internet and the Information Revolution. Each class will concentrate on a separate aspect of the latest digital technology and its analog counterpart. This will include demonstrations of Digital Photography, I-Pod & Mp3, CD, DVD, Personal Computers and their applications including the Internet (email, World Wide Web, and Search Engines). We will also cover GPS Navigation, Cellular Phones, and High Definition Television (HDTV). The intent of this course is to demystify and to neutralize one’s inhibition in using this new and exciting technology. The first half of each class will be devoted to a demonstration of each particular device and how it works. The last half of each class will be devoted to discussion and Q&A.

The 20th Century: The Story of Our Lives!

This class represents an "attempt to understand the world of today." This is a discussion group about anything that interests us: Art, History, Cultures, Music, Foreign Policy, Current Events and more. We will try to connect the dots, tying the past to the present in order to better understand our world today.
