Mark L. Fine joined FILL as soon as he retired after 41 years of dental practice in 1996. He attended Indiana University, and is a University of Maryland Dental School graduate. He also enjoyed taking music courses at Kean University. He is a member of the N.J State Opera Chorus, Westfield Oratorio Society. He volunteers for the Fellowship Community in Chestnut Ridge, NY.

Besides FDU courses Mark has been attending the Great Books Discussion Group since he joined FILL. As busy as Mark is, he still finds time to enjoy golfing. In the Spring of 2013, Mark was honored with FILL's "Instructor Appreciation Award," recognizing his long and outstanding teaching for the FILL program.

Opera

 In this course we will explore the world of opera. Bring your own likes and dislikes with you—you may end up changing your mind. Among other topics we will explore the following: great singers and great music, how opera developed, and why it has flourished for 400 years.
